“To him who overcomes and keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations.” Revelation 2:26 NKJV
The story of the Tower of Babel shows the power of the three (3) axes of Fidelity. We find Fidelity in small things, Fidelity in unjust riches and Fidelity in what belongs to others.
Faithfulness in Small Things: To achieve their grand vision, the Babylonians were faithful and meticulous in detail, brick by brick. Faithfulness in small things means having consideration for every brick of the project. By doing this, you will build great things.
Faithfulness to Others : The Tower of Babel was Nimrod's project, but each one appropriated it for his own (Genesis 10:8-10). The project of the Tower of Babel displeased God because its initiators did it for their own glory and out of refusal to disperse themselves throughout the earth in accordance with God's command to Adam and Eve to fill the whole earth.
Faithfulness in Unrighteous Riches : Like the builders of the tower who talked to one another, the unfaithful steward approached his boss's debtors one by one to make friends with them. Jesus associates true wealth with your ability to make connections. I know many rich people who ended up very unhappy because in their pursuit of material wealth, they became enemies of their spouse, their children (even setting them against each other), and their friends. In the end, nothing real remained of their possessions. What good will it do you to have a lot of money if you have no one to use it with in peace and joy? What good will it do you to have a large number of buildings if your children kill each other?
This book will help you seek and acquire the wisdom and faithfulness that will lead you to the true riches God has provided for you.
